Central Post Office

The Central Post Office is adjacent to Notre Dame Cathedral, just across the street. This is also a great example of Gothic architectural style in Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City). The post office was built between 1886 and 1891 and designed by Gustave Eiffel.

The main hall of Saigon Central Post Office features a grand sitting area, nice domed ceilings and complete with a huge portrait of Uncle Ho. The post office makes a great retreat from the city heat and bustle. You may also buy some postcards and stamps here to send your beloved a letter. It is cheap and convenient.
